Music Tuition

We offer the opportunity for children to take part in instrumental lessons. These lessons are arranged by Surrey Arts and are charged termly at varying rates depending on whether the lessons are individual or shared.

Parents will need to hire or buy an instrument if their child is to have lessons in school. A small number of instruments are available for hire from Surrey Arts. There would also be additional costs for music and repairs.

Before children are offered lessons in school, they will need to demonstrate interest, aptitude and the necessary physique. Instrumental teachers will generally make these assessments. After an initial trial period, there will also be a need to make a commitment to persevere with lessons.

When children reach an appropriate standard they will be able to join one of many instrumental groups, either in school or with Surrey Arts.
