Our School Prayer
It is important for children to know how to pray and why we pray. When we teach our children to pray, this plants the seeds for them to grow their personal relationship with God. We were given prayer as a way to communicate with Our Lord directly. Teaching children to pray helps them to understand that God is always accessible and always there for them.
The beautiful prayer “Christ Has No Body Now but Yours,” attributed to Saint Teresa of Ávila, helps us to consider how God has called us to do Christ’s work in the world today. Through our vision and supported by our prayer we are able to love and serve God.
Christ has no body but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good,
Christ has no body now but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Christ has no body now on earth but yours. |
