Breakfast Club and After School Club

The St John’s out of school clubs offer a childcare facility before and after school hours. They offer children a safe, stimulating place in which to play, learn and take part in activities and creative arts. Children must be registered and dropped off and/or collected by parents/carers.
Our clubs enable children to develop their full potential through positive, social, emotional, physical and intellectual experiences within a stable, secure and relaxed environment.
We are proud to boast a variety of activities for children including arts, crafts, games, construction toys, PS, Nintendo, Wii, home corner and outdoor play. There is a homework area to further their learning and children are also given the opportunity to relax, read and listen to music in a “quiet” area. We value the importance of play as a way for children to learn and develop their imagination and communication skills.

OFSTED regulate our policies, procedures, standards and educational provision and all are subject to inspection. We are, also supported by the Early Years and Childcare Partnership and are subject to the requirements of the 2006 Childcare Act.
Breakfast Club
The Breakfast Club is based in the Infants Main Hall and opens at 7.30am. Breakfast includes a selection of hot or cold cereals, toast, yoghurts and fruit and the cost is £5.25 per session. Ad hoc sessions are £5.75 per session.
At 8.45am children begin the school day.
NB. With effect from 1st September 2024 the rate will increase to £6.25 per session & £6.75 for ad hoc sessions.
After School Club
The After School Club is also based in the Infants Main Hall and opens between 3.10pm and 6.00pm. The Infants are escorted by the class teacher into the hall. The juniors wait in their main hall until a member of our staff collects them. Children do not go from one school to another unattended.
A light healthy tea such as wraps, beans on toast, pasta, fruit is included in the cost of £10.50 per session, Ad hoc sessions are £11.50 per session.
Alternatively if you book your child in and arrange to collect them before 4.30p.m, the cost is £5.75 per session. Adhoc sessions where the child is collected before 4.30p.m are charged at £6.25 per session.
NB. With effect from 1st September 2024 the rate will increase to £6.25 if you collect before 4.30pm (£6.75 ad hoc session) and £12.00 for the full session, (£12.50 ad hoc session)
